October seems to be a deadly month for the music industry. Earlier this month Bahamas lost some significant persons in the music business in the Bahamas to a plane crash. Now news comes out of Jamaica that one of its biggest Reggae music icon, Gregory Isaacs, has died.
Isaacs died of cancer in London this morning. According to reports, Gregory Isaacs succumbed to cancer of the liver. Isaacs nickname, "Cool Ruler", stems from his mellow, tuneful music. Gregory had a prolific career, releasing over 50 albums over four decades. His last album, 'Brand New Me' was released in 2008 to very positive reviews.
