Wyclef for President - Powerful Words through Song

Hip Hop star, Wylcef John has recently released a song that criticise Haitian president Peval for rejecting him as an election candidate. This famous singer, has been barred for the election that is scheduled to be held o November 28th, 2010.

In the song entitled"Prizon Pou Kep" which is interpretted as Jail for the Provisional Electoral Council, Jean speaks about his experience in being rejected from candidacy.

Wyclef for President ?

After a conversation with Haiti President Rene Preval, Wyclef has confirmed his candidacy in Haiti's upcoming election and is anticipating the November 28th, presidential ballot.

Current President Preval is concerned with the death threats made against Wyclef and wants to avoid the possible negative impact on the upcoming election.

It is Preval's intent to meet with Wyclef along with other presidential hopefuls in weeks to come.
