Roots n Culture loves good Food!

Nosey Parker has been making her way around town and stumbled upon a little piece of treasure filled with a bountiful amount of scrumptious Greek food. Athena Cafe Cocktail Bar located on Bay and Charlotte Street specializes in Authentic Greek Cuisine and Mediterranean Dishes. We got a chance to chat it up with the vibrant Peter Mousis who shows off his love for food and Greek culture as he lightens the mood the minute you step through the door!

'Opa! Hey pretty lady, what will you be having today?'

Before you head upstairs to the eating area fine jewelry pave the front area of the store with everything from necklaces, glistening rings with fine stones and everything in between. The jewelry store has been on Bay Street for 52 years and the restaurant has been providing tasty food for the past 16 years.

The experience is really like no other. All the tables as close together, so you feel like you're home with the family, having a yummy feast. Customer Service was definitely top and there's also a balcony area if you want to escape the chit chat from inside.

We had the infamous Greek Gyro and it's the best we've had. The seasoning is much different from other Greek restaurants and it's larger in size.

When it comes to affordability Olive beats Athena's but it's definitely worth it.
